Physics, Modeling, Climate Change...new books

Was the winter storm that came through Bloomington this week a disaster? I don't know, I lost electricity for a while, but it's kind of pretty now. This is a view of the East Tower of the Wells Library this morning. The storm has me thinking about recent interdisciplinary titles in Swain Hall that people outside of physics and computer science may find interesting.

The Science of Disasters, Exercises in Environmental Physics, Mathematics of Climate Modeling, and Adaptive Atmospheric Modeling. All of these are available from the Swain Hall Library; use "Request Delivery" if you aren't up to trekking over here this week...bundle up.

Today's Science Snack, Girl Scout cookies

People seem to be studying hard these days, and there's been minimal trash left laying around the library, so I've decided to put a science snack out again because the weather's dismal and you should be rewarded for coming to the library on a day when all schools except IU seem to be closed. Thin mints and peanut butter tagalongs, and don't take handfuls, just take one or two.
